This song is a perfect exemplar of Raistlin's story and amazingly barely tells his tale. It intrigues the mind, and catches the heart with its epic tale of sacrifice. It is indeed worthy of our Shalafi. I even spoke to Margeret Weis about it and when I told her of the song she searched it out and gave it excellent reviews. The woman who gives Raistlin his very life complimenting this song! She also admitted to the faults in the movie and was fond of Keifer Sutherland's voice acting. I myself despise it, from the minor flaws in spell pronunciation (the a in ast tasurak sinuralan krinawi, the sleep spell, is pronounced as in ask versus the ah sound discribed in the book soulforge) to the fact that as a whole he sounded far too healthy and less cynical and bitter. Tanis, Flint, Fizban, Riverwind and Goldmoon were far better done. I also hated how much of an annoying dick they made Tasslehoff...

There is also the work of Dargaard (Named after the keep) And on the Rise and Fall album, they have two songs. One called Rise and Fall about Lord Soth, the other is Takhisis Dance

I love Dragonlance, and Raistlin is my inspiration. Any great character I could ever write would never equal up to him. He is the inspiration and helps me keep moving even when I don't want to anymore. Great song.
