by schulzie on 6/4/2008 6:18pm Correct! He was burned at the stake in Rome FEB 17, 1600. He is concerned the first 'Martyr of Science'. His statue can be seen at his exact place of death at the Campo De' Fiori square; it was errected in 1889. Another statue depicting his actual death (eww) is in Germany.
