racism is about systems of institutionalized privilege and oppression. when have white people been oppressed in Amerika? cuz when that happens, then whites can be the victim of racism. but that has never happened. you are confused with prejudice and discrimination, which anyone can be victim of. once again- racism is about POWER.
i used to like type o. now i see that they are sarcastically removing all the damage that racism has done to people of color, and privilege that whites have gained through the control of our government. i'm white, and think that whites who don't see themselves as part of a society with a racist history and present, should indeed (without sarcasm) be killed. some people are so free they can take others freedom. thanks to this ignorance by a seemingly intelligent band, I have deleted all the type o off my computer, and will continue to boycott the colorblind privileged assholes that make up the band, and i'm guessing, most of their fan base. actually this is prolly most of Amerika, so fuck white people.

There is only one person who can claim that and well... unfortunately he's dead as a door-mouse. Lets face it, Peter Steel was an intelligent artist and picked his lyrics with great care. For us to assume this song is meant literally or even sarcastically is arrogant. Having seen Pete in the early 90s talk about his views on people on welfare, I wouldn't be surprised if he's racist as well. I haven't heard anything intelligent from him in interviews or his lyrics. He just happened to have a great sense of humor and an ear for heavy riffs and melodies. My guess is he feels sorry for himself and thinks he's sooo hassled by the "PC media" and believes in bullshit theories like "reversed racism" (people who buy into it are more or less racists). It's not that blacks couldn't be racists against whites. They can and some of them probably have, but you judge things by the context, by history, not by some imaginary point zero situation where blacks and whites are fully equal in society, and the trouble starts if a black person calls the white one "whitey".
