A mezzanine is a type of floor typically used for storage in warehouses and stages for shows. Stating you gotta take the elevator to the mezzanine just means he's up pretty high on that stage/platform. Try not to think too much into their lyrics as they typically make about as much sense as Beck's lyrics, haha.
