I loved him so but my cousin told him a great lie about me that I spent a weekend with another man and that I was pregnant. She had the house staff keep his calls from me and tore all his letters before I could see them. The sad thing is that everyone in the house knew what she did and no one told me. It was one of her house keepers that told me what my cousin had done.She was fired. I contacted Steves father in Dorset but he told me that Steve wanted nothing with me for what I had supposedly done to him.What hurt more than anything was that Steve believed a lie and didnt trouble himself to try and get the truth from me.
