okay, for starters you act like nirvana is the mecca of rock, WRONG...Kurt Cobain said that he wasnt bob dylan or eric clapton..it was expression and a musical push forward in the day were just it was hair bands and RnB acts, he was pushing the barriers of "modern" rock...i mean he referred Nirvana as a punk version of Cheap Trick, Kurt was a good song write but it was the music that tried to revamp punk rock into something more than AFI and GreenDay...to mean Nirvana ment musical freedom not the musical ideals spoon fed to the massives....
