This is without a doubt the worst/dumbest song I ever read the lyrics to. If it took more than 5 minutes to write this I would be shocked. Third graders write songs like this.

The music is bland, it's too slow, it's just a horrendous song.

Christ, whatever happened to song writing. This is like a bad country song, with a twinge of rock thrown in.

generally, i think a lot of people like this song. I do, too. however, i think the lyrics are rather sarcastically saying that being a rockstar isn't all it's cracked up to be. you pretty much sell yourself for a life of drugs and lust, losing all sense of who you really are on a deeper level. and, for what? pleasure. yet, at the same time, chad (lead singer) sort of has done this. cut his hair, probably changed his name, became an iconic musician for a bigger paycheck and some fun.
