Sweet memories..I ran away from home at 16 and went to my best friends house. He persuaded me to go back home. He walked me home because it was getting dark. On the way home we had to pass through some woods and it began to rain...and the rest was just like the song. That was 34 yrs. ago and I still think of him when I hear this song.

When I was a kid in the 70s I was playing around with my parents big wooden stereo and I remember this song playing. I was turning the bass way up on the stereo and I turned up the volume to max. One of the big speakers made a loud pop and hissed and broke. I got a whooping for that. I dont like laughter in the rain cause it reminds me of my pissed off dad for me breaking his speaker.
