The Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (3X)
Chorus: repeat 2X
Life is a test many quest the universe
And through my research I felt the joy and the hurt
The first shall be last and the last shall be first
The basic instructions before leaving earth
Verse One:
Knowledge this wisdom this goes back when I was twelve
I loved doing right but I was trapped in hell
Had mad ideas, sad eyes and tears
Years of fears, but yo my foes couldn't bear
I searched for the truth since my youth
And went to church since birth, but it wasn't worth the loot
that I was paying, plus the praying
I didn't like staying cuz of busy-bodies and dizzy hotties
That the preacher had souped up with lies
Had me cooped up lookin at loot, butt, and thighs
Durin the service, he swallowed up the poor
And after they heard this, they wallowed on the floor
But I ignored, and explored my history that was untold
And watched mysteries unfold
And dropped a jewel like Solomon, but never followed men
cause if you do your brain is more hollow than
Space oblivia, or the abyss
With no trace of trivia, left with the hiss
Does it pay to be deaf, dumb and blind?
From a slave we was kept from the mind
And from the caves he crept from behind
And what he gave, was the sect of the swine
When the bible, it condemned the pig
I don't mean to pull your hems or flip your qigs
But we used to wear a turban, but now we're in the urban
No more wearing beanies and dress like a genie
No hocus pocus cause I focus on the facts
And put it on the tracks and brought it through the wax
I speak on Jacob, it might take up some time
And too much knowledge, it might break up the rhyme
I did it anyway just to wake up the mind
of those who kiss stones or prays on the carpet
Those who sit home, or sell books by the market
Need to chill and get their mind revived
For years religion did nothing but divide
The basic instructions before leaving earth
Chorus
Verse Two:
I strolled through the books of Job to unfold
And open bibles, instead of hoping on revivals
Calling on His name and screaming hallelujah
when he hardly knew ya, that's how the devil's fooled ya
See look into my eyes brethren, that's the lies of a Reverand
Why should you die to go to heaven?
The Earth is already in space, the bible I embrace
A difficult task I had to take
I studied till my eyes was swollen, and only arose when
I found out that we were the chosen
I deal with the truth, and build with the youth
And teach my son as he kneels on the stoop
Son, life is a pool of sin, corrupted with foolish men
and women with wicked minds, who build picket signs
to legalize abortion, the evil eye distortion
I quiz Son with my wisdom
Before I converted, I was perverted, and knowledge was asserted
The study of wisdom, I perferred it
The understanding, it gave me mental freedom
I even learnt Caucasians were really the Tribe of Edam
The white image, of Christ, is really Cesare Borgia
and uhh, the second son of Pope Alexander
The Sixth of Rome, and once the picture was shown
That's how the devils tricked my dome
I prophesized to save a man, but no one gave a damn
for my nation - the seed of Abraham
Blessed with the tongue of Hebrew
Now we're strung on needles, and some are plungin evils
So study and be wise in these days of darkness
Peace to my nephew Marcus
The basic instructions before leaving earth
Chorus: repeat to fade

This is now my #1 fav. song! Its so deep with emotion, so raw. It might be hard to understand it, but after a while it sinks deep in your mind and its all you can think about.
by PLO-Style on 10/28/2008 9:06pm
God isn't in space or heaven or some faraway place. He's in you and you are him. Listen to the song...ur potential is unlimited. Tap into it.
by Miss_koco on 1/16/2009 1:47pm
There's no way that you (PLO-Style) will ever convince me that any man (or woman) is god. He may be in some of us, but we're all human and nothing more.

As the song implies, I believe the bible is nothing more than a book of metaphor on how to live one's life. Whether God is real or a metaphor we can all agree on one thing; God is an influential force that causes a group to unite and/or stay on the so-called right path. God also influences war based on misinterpretations of this groups sacred scriptures. So to reply to Miss_Koco, whether or not you accept it or realize it one way or another some type or portion of God is in us. We are taught that we are made in His likeness, so why is it so hard to believe he is within us all? Doubt is not the absence of God, Doubt is the lack of acceptance of God.

Miss he is tryin to say God is inside all of us.

God is not in all of us, thought we are made in his image we are made of flesh and blood the image part is the spirit. does the devil have God in him, no. But he is not far from anyone. you just need to love him, and he say if you love me you'll keep my commands so as you journey in this world you do need the map that gets you to your journeys end. No person that know good and evil will accidently get to heaven.so you need Gods map. the plan of salvation hear, believe repent confess and be baptize and grow

To clearly understand the meaning of this message you have to be renewed of the mind......As many churched would chime "yes" they themselves are stuck into "church" and being spoonfeed the beliefs and principels they commit their lives too. With that understanding Killah Priest was speaking on a much broader spectrum of life, not just the simpleton existence YOUR government would lead you to believe through schools, jobs and even organized RELIGION. Not even your churches are free as long as they stay TAX EXEMPT through submitting to an evil and destructive government. The wool has been pulled over the sovereigns eyes for too long. WAKE UP! Learn for yourself instead of preaching half-ass ideas you've been fed yet never studied. If God is the KING and we are his children then what does that make us? SOVEREIGNITY

nice song but he contradicted himself in many places. for example he said men are wicked and religion divides, how can religion divide when all religions apart from luciferian preaches togetherness and harmony. how wicked men choose to twist religion for their selfish needs and agendas has nothing to do with the teachings of the religion. sadly nowadays ppl cannot differentiate the teachings of religion and what the followers of that religion choose to do. a car is made to transport ppl, if a crazy driver decides to hit and kill ppl with the car does not mean the car is to be blamed but the driver. killah priest needs to open up his mind some more
by priesthood! on 4/20/2011 3:28am
seint, there is no contradiction in this song wat so eva. religion does divide people. the default is that followers of religion A will not tolerate those of religion B. those of religion A seek to convert those of B into following A and vice versa. then conflicts emerge.

God Is King and the BIBLE is all the logic and common sense i need
by 1TruLuv on 12/23/2011 11:49am
People divide themselves through religion & any other way they can conceive to make themselves appear better than their brother. True religion should be a harmonious quest for The Creator, however, man pulls himself down constantly through his own devices & impregnated evils.
by Chief Merkh on 1/1/2012 10:59pm
One of the realest songs ever. Point is dont follow blindly what everyone tells you. Think for yourself, like Killah Priest did. Do the knowledge. Research ya history. For them up there saying religion dont divide, yall need to think deeper into it. Religion implies a sect, not necessarily a faith. Sects are divisions. Religion divides, but faith unites. Have faith in God, the creator, but know that God lives in all of us as well as being Omnipresent. Our individual souls are from God. Dont swallow the bullshit the media/govt/church/school feeds u. Think for yourself. WAKE UP. Peace.

This is one of my favorite songs on the album, due to the fact i relate to it with very similar events i had at one point in time. I went to church since birth, but i had all these questions that no preacher could answer. In 1997, 1 year before the release of this album, I started researching and studying. I hung out at the library from open to close a lot of days. I studied until my eyes started to cross. The truth I discovered was painful and necessary, but i learned that you create your own foundation with The Most High and follow the path of the truth. The majority

The majority of the things of this earth have satanic relavance. If you don't stand for nothing, you will fall for anything. Through the study of knowledge, you allow yourself to see the world for what it truely is, and not for how you percieve it or want it to be.

This is my favourite song in this album and the Priest is telling the truth coz we see make fake churches opposing other churches. Now to me is how can the followers of god oppose other followers of god while praying the same god?
