by Espresso Forte on 10/18/2009 11:12pm I think the "walking on air" part is him seeing other people (his wife, too, perhaps) as going through life with ease (eg: walking on air) and not having the troubles that people like him (introverts?) encounter on a near-constant basis. From his point of view, these extroverts go through life with ease, naked to the world (without self-conscious worry). They happily act out their life rituals (hunting/mating) without concern, and they sometimes discover someone interesting in the "corner" (people like him who need to be treated with due care). They play with them for a while but usually end up abandoning them emotionally once their temporary curiosity is satisfied. And since they don't feel things as severely as introverts do, they don't realize the damage they do by abandoning them too soon.
