by Rich on 7/3/2008 12:28pm I’ve been in the same situation For so many years Like running on a treadmill In a room full of mirrors It seems I can win for losing So I don’t even try I just wear a big smile While inside I die I don’t need another mother I left home long ago You think yours is the only way But you don’t even know What you call love is like a weapon And it deeply punctures my soul I’ve been forced to become a diplomat Just to keep things under control Still I send up my prayer Because I know He will hear I fall to my knees In an attempt to be sincere My name is in your book And one day you will know me I’m a poet and a pirate And I plundered this from Joni
