by Toni Olds on 4/24/2010 3:51pm The lyrics were not by John Denver but by Johnny Mercer. In fact you even give credit for them at the bottom of this page. John Denver was not the only one to record this song either. For one I have a recording of Ella Fitzgerald singing it.
