Played this for jazz army(my school's ensemble was 3x the size of a normal jazz ensemble so it was an army) and I had the bass line nearly all the way through. To this day, no matter the key, I can play that bass line.

It's not by George Benson - It's by Lieber and Stoller (Hound Dog, etc) and was sung in 1963 by the Drifters. Benson's (very good) version was *much* later.

I love this song! Yeah here where I live the community is putting on Broadway Our Way. This is the first song they sing. Yeah actually I'm backstage help, which means I open and shut curtains, take a chair onstage (my big spotlight moment, lolz), and give Chance his shawl, and then last but not least, I make sure that while the kids are backstage that they stay quiet and that in itself is a pretty hard job considering there's probably 8 or 9 kids lolz.
