Best Fear Factory Song Ever! My personal Favorite. The song explains the "Disconnect" we have with God sometimes, and are ability to believe in things to be made right beyond the current circumstances we see, and our faith when God doesnt answer us right when we want thim to, or how we want him to, when we feel there is "Zero Signal" from the devine. One of the best songs in metal history. Herrera's technical arrangements behind the drums are at there best here!

Plus, in the Movie Mortal Kombat Johnny Cage & Scorpion beat the hell out of eachother to this song (literally). Cheers to Paul Anderson for using it in the movie. Awesome!

Not everyone has a faith in "God", whichever God you are talking about, who knows, because there are thousands people across different cultures believe in. Any song can metaphorically mean different things to each person. Praying can be metaphorically used in lace of hope, or subservience.

Uprising is right. I don't think this song has got anything to do with God, and if it does, it's only in reference to a total lack of faith and/or losing any faith in a higher power whatsoever.

It is the futility of wish-thinking. Placing your faith and trust into imaginary invisible friends and the like leads you to the precipice. This song is about the feeling you have just before falling in, when you realize there is no god. Zero Signal.
