by ENGL 443 minus LAMEJustin on 3/25/2009 7:00pm Class interpretation: This song is clearly about drinking too much wine in Rome,and going home with a stranger, but he/she has a cool accent. After a night of too much reveling at the Sistine Chapel, they drink too much absinthe and end up having hallucinations of the green fairy who turns into a frog for no reason at all, and then a pretty cherub, which watches you while you're sleeping. It is an obvious reference to the hippy movement from the line, "I will not be an enemy of anything." Especially not Count Chocula. We think this pretty much sums up the song.
