Drugs get you weary, at time when ur not as high....ur worries begin to catch up on you....U want a change, a way to feel better....so either u can take another hit or fight your life in the true sense....the battle goes on n u finally "dont wanna know" and a hit makes you feel better for another day....
Thats what this song is all about, atleast to me!

sometimes it isn't drugs. one day drifts into another nothing changes for you but the world around you, the world you thought you knew, has completely disappeared.

i just love the song, and not cuz it involves my name!its lyrics strangely make some sense to me. i'm... the song just matters to me more then most do. it caught my attention the 1st time i heard it, and now i can't stop listening to and for it.

I always thought it was about his friend Amy Mann who 'hit the atmosphere' with her award winning soudntrack to the movie 'Magnolia'. And she made it out of the gutter or onto another level that musicians strive to reach..I just always felt that way when I heard it~
