My Forever Friend Lyrics

Artist: Charlie Landsborough
Album: Live From Dublin

Everybody needs a little help sometime
No one stands alone
Makes no difference if you're just a child like me
Or a king upon a throne
For there are no exceptions
We all stand in the line
Everybody needs a friend
Let me tell you of mine
-------
CHORUS:
He's my forever friend
My leave-me-never friend
From darkest night to rainbow's end
He's my forever friend
-------
Even when I turn away He cares for me
His love no one can shake
Even as I walk away He's by my side
With every breath I take
And sometimes I forget Him
My halo fails to shine
Sometimes I'm not His friend
But He is always mine
-------
REPEAT CHORUS:
If you still don't know the one I'm talking of
I think it's time you knew
Long ago and far away upon a cross
My friend died for you
So if you'd like to meet Him
And don't know what to do
Ask my friend into you heart
And He'll be your friend too
-------
REPEAT CHORUS:

He's My Forever Friend

We think that this is one of the most beautiful songs we have heard in a long time. We live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and listen to an Easy Listening station (CFEP) and there is where we first heard it. Several versions are played by this station including the Alexander Brothers, the Irish Tenors and Daniel O'Donnell. My husband is blind and he does sing solos in Church. My Forever Friend is one that he is learing now. My cousin purchased Daniel O'Donnell's Songs of Inspiration Songbook and sent it over to us as we are unable to get the music here in Canada. ONE QUESTION: PEOPLE KEEP ASKING WHEN THIS PIECE WAS WRITTEN? Hoping to hear back from you with that answer on my email address: l.church@ns.sympatico.ca THANK YOU FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE.

Allah was Muhammad's friend! Anything Muhammad wanted, Allah gave it to Mutt! When he wanted to be a murdering, raping, child molesting, enslaving, thieving Arabian thug, Allah said, "That's OK by me, Mutt"!

I'm your forever friend!

Just recently heard Emmet Cahill, The Irish tenor from Celtic Thunde,r sing this in his solo show. It's so very beautiful and meaningful song. Have heard Daniel O'Donnel and Emmet sings it with equal passion and grace.
