No, Brittney did sing the song in The Little Black Book. Her voice is totally different than Carly Simon's, the song was on in the background.
Brittany Murphy did actually sing the song. It's just too bad they wouldn't let her record her version for the soundtrack 'Little Black Book'. She has a pure sound.
